Version 1.8 last updated on 2021/04/01 10:07:49

If you want to install the CADP software on a single machine (for instance, a laptop, a home computer, etc.), you can avoid reading this Page.

If you want to install the CADP software on several machines sharing a common filesystem (e.g., with NFS), it is advisable to have a unique license file for all these machines.

In this case, the unique license file that Installator will produce (approximately) consists of the concatenation of all the individual license files specific to each machine. Installator is designed in such a way that you do not have to log on each machine, prepare the individual license for this machine, and concatenate it with the other license files.

Installator can perform these operations for you automatically, even if the machines have different hardware architectures and/or operating systems.

To do so, your current machine should have the privilege to copy files to the other machines and to execute remote programs on these machines.

Such remote accesses can be performed in two different manners:

Installator will choose (and use) any available possibility automatically.
